TECHNICAL PREPARATION FOR YOUR STAND
From your IFEMA stand plan to printed wall panels
A good finish starts before printing. Rotúlalo Madrid reviews your stand plan, surfaces and installation conditions to size printed 10 mm foam board, PVC / Forex panels and vinyl graphics for your space.
1. An up-to-date stand drawing
Send the technical drawing available in your Zona Expo account and your booked stand type. We check walls, open sides, storage areas, doors and counters. A location plan helps us find your stand but may not include the dimensions needed to produce the graphics.
2. The printable surface
Module dimensions and the surface to be covered can differ. Aluminium profiles, joints and doors affect each piece. We confirm width, height, orientation and panel layout before production.
3. Fixings suited to your stand
Basic, Premium and other suppliers’ stand systems may have different restrictions. We confirm permitted fixing methods and removal arrangements, taking account of the hired stand’s conditions and door operation.
4. Planned installation and removal
Include your exhibition, hall, stand number and the date when the structure will be ready for decoration. We agree installation within authorised access times and who will remove the panels. Project submission or updates depend on the rules of your particular exhibition.
How to prepare print-ready artwork
Supply PDF artwork in CMYK with embedded images and fonts converted to outlines. State the scale: actual size (1:1), or 1:10 when agreed. Image resolution is checked at final print size. Name each piece with its width × height in millimetres, material and stand position; for example, wall-01_1000x2500mm_foam.pdf (an illustrative filename, not a standard panel size).
We confirm final dimensions, bleed and cutting requirements for your job. Tell us about Pantone brand colours or shaped cuts before finalising the file. Artwork preparation or adaptation can be assessed in your quote.
Materials and venue requirements
The material and its installation must suit the exhibition and the stand. Applicable fire-reaction requirements and the product’s supporting technical documentation need to be checked before the material is selected. The names “foam board” and “Forex” alone do not certify these properties.
Have a plan but are unsure which dimensions to send?
Attach it to your request and identify the walls, counters or doors you want to personalise. Approximate dimensions are enough to begin; production dimensions and artwork are confirmed before printing.

Plan your stand graphics before travelling to Madrid
- Send your stand requirements. Include the exhibition name, installation date, approximate wall dimensions and a plan or photo, if available.
- Tell us whether you need installation. Add your hall, stand number and access times when you know them. We will check production and installation availability.
- Confirm the quote and artwork. Final dimensions, materials, print files and fixing arrangements must be agreed before production.

Frequently asked questions
Does a location plan show all panel dimensions?
It identifies the hall, position and floor area. Production also needs the wall and storage layout, surface dimensions and, where available, wall elevations or counter details. If you only have a location plan, send it and we will identify the missing information.
Are all IFEMA modular stands the same size?
No. Generic reference drawings do not replace your own stand drawing. The usable surface between profiles can be smaller than the nominal module width, while panels covering the profiles may need different dimensions. We confirm the solution before printing and cutting.
Can you fit printed panels to a modular stand?
Yes. Send us the dimensions of each wall and information about the stand structure so we can assess panel sizes and the fixing method.
Can I request a quote before my artwork is ready?
Yes. Approximate dimensions and a description of the graphics are enough to start. The quote will be finalised once materials, dimensions and print files are confirmed.
Can installation at IFEMA be included?
Yes, subject to availability and access conditions. Include your installation date, hall, stand number and setup times in your request.
Who removes the foam board panels after the exhibition?
Your team or stand supplier may be able to remove the panels, depending on the agreed fixing method. We confirm the arrangement before installation.
What information do you need for a quote?
The exhibition, installation date, approximate dimensions, quantities, materials and whether you need installation. A stand plan or wall photo helps us understand the work.
